Spring Break and iPads
The tech team at the school has requested that all student devices remain at school over the break. They will be doing some work on them. Therefore, no iPads will be going home for spring break.

Humanities
This week we wrapped up our, “City of Ember,” novel study. Most students completed their booksnaps and vocabulary activities. A few may still be working on this next week and are encouraged to work at home if they are feeling behind. We watched the movie and compared the two forms as part of our wrap up. Most students agreed that the book was way better! Next week we will be beginning our look at the stories of Canada’s First Nations groups and starting some writing projects.

Math
This week students designed tessellations with translations and reflections. Next week students will be continuing to work on their oil pastels and watercolor reflection tessellations.

Science
This week students worked hard to complete their Ember inventions. They created a google slides reflection about their building process and received peer feedback to improve their work. Next week students will be conducting a home study about reading a household electrical meter and efficiency labels on electrical appliances. They will also participate in an electromagnet lab.
